Wedding dress shopping was one of the best memories I have from the planning stage of my wedding. I went with an idea in mind and ended up getting something completely different to what I set out looking for. I love to hear the back story from my brides about the wedding dress and I always make sure I spend some time capturing it before the bride puts it on. Something I bring with me to every bridal prep is a satin hanger as you won’t believe the amount of dresses that come on black plastic hangers, a real bugbear of mine. On the whole I take the dress photos inside but if I spy somewhere pretty to hang the dress outside and there is no chance of it getting wet or muddy I will ask the bride her thoughts and if she is happy I’ll usually get one of the bridesmaids to help me carry the dress and we can hang it up together and check that it is secure before I step back and take the photos.
